The initial ideas behind this design concept were for players who like the Grande Campana but want a little brighter of a sound. The brass bell on these trumpets is just as large as the Grande Campana.

Initial designs for this instrument used the G leadpipe, just like the Grande Campana, essentially making the bell the only difference between the two models. As more people have played this instrument since its initial conception in the spring of 2020, we find the C2 leadpipe to be an equally popular option on these trumpets. 

This trumpet is named after my Pitbull mix, Dot, who we affectionately call “Dorothy”. Dorothy has been known to howl when we are play-testing new trumpets. If she starts singing along, we know we have a good one.
