We offer a variety of finish options to suit every player, including polished finishes, plated finishes, brushed finishes, lacquered finishes, and our signature acid tarnish finishes. About Our Signature Acid Tarnish Finish
We’re proud to offer our fan-favorite acid tarnish finish as a finish option on our custom instruments. Each finish is a unique tarnish with random colors and patterns. Think of it as a starting point for your finish. Since this finish is done on raw metal, your instrument will continue to naturally tarnish over time.
We use a chemical dip process to achieve this type of tarnish on the instrument. This process yields a wide range of results in coloration, leading to unique and gorgeous results every time. While we can’t guarantee specific colors, we can some degree of control in the finish’s lightness or darkness, as well as whether it has large blocks of color or a more dappled effect.
